The International Visitors & Initiatives Program Manager contributes to the dynamic and growing international initiatives at Notre Dame Law School. The position will report to the Program Director of International & Graduate Programs and will work with faculty and students involved in the international programs at the Law School, particularly including incoming faculty visitors, and will support other international initiatives.

The work will involve careful work with spreadsheets and online programs that require precision and proactive attention. The duties for this position include:
Visiting Scholars. Support the entire process for visiting faculty scholars. This includes, but is not limited to, tracking nominations, monitoring course approvals, negotiating dates with visitors, sorting housing, working with the appointments process for both postdoctoral scholars and the office of the provost with all necessary forms, including OnBase. This will also include preparing careful, detailed itineraries for the visitors and supporting their stay and scheduling meetings for the visitors as needed, including assisting with trips to local state and federal courts as needed. (This is likely the majority of the position’s time and attention, about 50%.)
Support International Student Initiatives. Support incoming international exchange students with the visa process and non-academic onboarding needs. Support the spring semester orientation for exchange students with the program director. Support for Summer Honors Scholars outgoing students, including travel registry, and some outgoing exchange issues.
Coordinate Housing. Coordinate the housing needs for all international visitors connected to the Law School’s International and Graduate Programs unit, including the LLM program, the exchange student program, and the faculty visitors. Network appropriately with NDI, Bradley Co. and all relevant vendors to develop expertise in this area.
Support for Distinguished International Visitors. Prepare detailed arrangements for VIP international visitors (such as Justices of international courts), including VIP hospitality, protocol and security arrangements, and itineraries.
Support for Strategic International Events and Programs. This will include assisting with select international events, such as meetings of the Catholic Consortium of Law Schools and supporting logistical itineraries and planning for faculty-led student trips abroad.
Tracking and Metrics. Maintain a database of visitors and update contact information, track visitor and program numbers. Maintain a log of gifts to distinguished visitors.
Support for Strategic International Events and Programs. This will include assisting with select international events, such as meetings of the Catholic Consortium of Law Schools and supporting logistical itineraries and planning for faculty-led student trips abroad.

Teamwork & other tasks as assigned. The Program Director may temporarily establish other functions or tasks for special projects, consistent with the nature of the position.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree is required. In addition, the ideal candidate will be detail oriented, be able to maintain multiple simultaneous workflows with a variety of deadlines in a fast-paced environment, have a sense of gracious hospitality for welcoming faculty visitors and incoming students, and be able to write and correspond clearly. The position requires superior written communication skills and an ability to do sustained, detailed work. This is a task-oriented position that will require care, memory, and the ability to notice problems.
Preferred Qualifications
Some experience with international experiences and/or with law strongly recommended. JD, LLM, MA, MBA, or PhD preferred.
